David O. Burbank has been a full-time mediator since 1995, having handled almost 6,000 cases. For the previous twenty years, he was a partner in the Pittsfield law firm of Cain, Hibbard & Myers.

A graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Law school, he has published law review and journal articles on the subject of legal ethics.

While in the private practice of law, Burbank was a civil litigator, handling a broad spectrum of complex civil cases in the federal and state courts. His representation of parties included both plaintiffs and defendants. He was counsel in 35 appeals resulting in reported decisions.
